We use Garden of Life Raw Organic Perfect Food to boost nutrition in my husband’s eggs every morning…it helps mask the taste and works really well that way. We tried it in smoothies, but the flavor didn’t blend as nicely, so it’s better mixed into food. Still a great way to get greens and nutrients in a simple, healthy way. 🌱

it tastes like green powder…what’d you expect
So far so good. I am on day 2 of using this product. I currently mix a half scoop of this with a half scoop of Amazing Grass Berry Flavor…don’t let the name fool you, both of these products taste aweful…but what do you expect?This is a very fine green powder that smells kind of like fishy greens. The taste is pretty bad but I used to juice and was able to put back some bad looking and tasting things for the sake of health and this is no different.Yesterday when I arrived home late I immediately made my dinner. A half scoop or Raw Meal chocolate and a half scoop of Shakeology with a banana, almond milk, berries and sometimes even a yogurt. This time I mixed in a half scoop of this product and the one I mentioned above. It definitely changed the flavor a lot. It mixed OK in my blender but the flavor was definitely ruined. Tolerable, but bad.I rated this product an initial 4**** because I took my second serving this morning, half in my shake and half in a different veggie drink similar to nakid’s version. I FEEL GREAT! I don’t feel like I have a crazy amount of energy but I do feel like I have a bit more maybe. I did get a bit gassy today but it isn’t a pungent type so I think what you eat will play a role in odor more than this stuff. It is made with pre and pro biotics people…it is supposed to make you more regular and part of that is that when you start you should expect to poop and fart more.A lot of people rate this 1* because of flavor. Let me ask you the last time you tasted a food that was delicious AND healthy? Now try to imagine what it would be like to actually eat all of the raw material that is pretty dried and ground for you…You will never get this much into you without juicing which is expensive to do at nearly $14 per meal if all organic at a store instead of farmers market.So far its working, I can overcome the flavor. I think that peanut butter may be able to mask it but I don’t like peanut butter too much so I will try to find ideas. In the mean time I know it makes me feel a difference within 24 hours so I will open my mouth and drink fast until I can figure out how to mask it a bit better while staying healthy.

Wow, the energy! Love this stuff so far!
Well I am writing this having not experienced the full effects of it yet…I just received it today, and I am drinking it now. I love Garden of Life products, that is why I ordered it and I like everything about what it contains. I mixed a scoop with probably more like 10 oz of water with about 2 oz of almond milk (says to mix with 8 oz water, I don’t measure). Some people will not like the taste I’m sure because it does taste very vegetative, almost like “dirt” but in a good way (if you know what I mean, some will!). It tastes FRESH, to me, and like it’s good for me! hahhaa I like it, it is made with actual cocoa powder and a bit of stevia so I’m sure that helps. It only has 35 calories so should not be used to replace all meals but I will be using it to replace one meal, probably, or even for a snack when I need energy. I will update this tomorrow after also trying it in a smoothie with yogurt, banana, almond milk, coconut oil and ice but without the typical protein powder I use. UPDATING NOW! About an hour after drinking my first try of this stuff, I literally felt an almost surge of energy and good tidings. Really! hahaha sounds silly but I’m not kidding, I haven’t felt this good in a long time, honestly. I can’t wait to see how I feel when I really integrate this into my new eating and lifestyle habits. I don’t have a juicer, can’t afford that. I’m not the most lazy person I know but I am quite often loathe to actually make a raw smoothie with veg and such, and if one bought all these great ingredients separately, even if it was possible to, one would spent a ****ton of money and also have large quantities of product that could go bad. Some would say this is expensive for a not huge container of a powdered drink. I might even have said that, but I took the plunge and ordered it on the strength of Garden of Life’s reputation and my experience with their stuff. Very pleased so far, and it’s only been one day.UPDATE Dec.21, 2013: Still loving this stuff. I do smoothies with a banana, some yogurt, almond milk, frozen fruit like blueberries, this stuff and a scoop of protein powder. Love it!
