Great for DDP Yoga!
I had been using the Wahoo tickr for DDPY for the last few years. I went through a few of them all of which I bought through Amazon. I had nothing but problems with them. Not connecting, losing connection in the middle of a workout, and dipping and spiking during workouts. I saw DDP selling this brand on his website, found it Amazon and ordered one, mostly because I could get replacement coverage after the warranty expires. I’ve been using it a few weeks and it has worked flawlessly, it was easy to setup through the app, you can set your zones in the app and easily tell by the color the monitor is blinking what zone you are in. The DDPY app found it and the zones are pretty close on both apps. I’ve had zero issues with it losing connection or being inaccurate. I workout between 90-120 minutes a day and after 7 days the battery is around 25 percent by day 7. It charges in less than 2 hours, which is better than dealing with a battery every few months. It’s also much more comfortable than a chest strap and since it’s on your arm it’s easy to tell what zone your in. It also works if you have tattoos, something other arm and wrist HRMs can have issues with. Overall I’m really happy with this HRM it’s taken some of the frustration out of working out! BANG!

Love this heart rate monitor.
I chose this arm band style heart rate monitor to track my effort while using a virtual reality headset. Mainly for the ‘Supernatural’ exercise/boxing app. It syncs easily with my IPhone and the VR headset both, I can actually see my heart rate INSIDE my headset after each boxing round in the app. The armband is easily adjustable and has different colors that flash, dependent upon how high your heart rate is getting, which is a nice visual indicator of how hard you are working. It also holds a charge for quite awhile, so I’m am not having to charge it every single time I want to use it. I can go lots of hours, maybe 15-20 hours if I had to guess, before it needs a recharge. In fact, I like this monitor so much I bought another one for my workout buddy. She likes it too. Nice mid-price heart rate monitor. Not a ton of bells and whistles, but then I prefer simple and straightforward, easy to use when it comes to electronic gadgets. Exactly what I was looking for.

Worth It!
Arrived at the time stated when purchasing. You get the sensor, charger, extra belt and a manual. Pairing with my Garmin was a breeze and in the two rides I’ve done, one of which was fairly long I never saw any connection dropouts. Fit was good, and it stayed in place all the time & because it is so lightweight and I forgot I was wearing the armband, which must be a good thing. The accuracy is really good. I had an apple watch for comparison and figures were very much similar. Battery life seems solid, was out on a ride for at least 5 hours and the battery seems to have held up good.I know this because when I tried to charge the device on arriving home, it charged for a couple of minutes before indicating the battery was full. My only complaint is the charger is proprietary and a touch finicky to use, I would have loved to see a common standard like USB-C. I cannot speak on durability of now, I will have to give it more time.

Does the job, just be prepared to have to finesse it a little bit.
Edit: This unit died 2 days after I wrote the review. Did I order the same one again? Sure did. Two years with heat and sweat, and it sure has been dependable. I’m also happy to see they now give you 2 bands so they must have been made aware of the Velcro issues. It uses the same charger as I had before so that’s great to have an extra charger. I did look at other arm monitor options but none of them had the same bang for the buck as this one. So in 2 years, I’ll buy it again. Two years is pretty good. My Wahoos lasted maybe 6 months and I had to play with them to get them to work. Wahoo customer service was great but the product was not great. This unit is indeed great.I have had this unit for about a year and a half now. It does work better than the Wahoo did . The Wahoo, I used to have to clean the contacts all the time. I have cleaned the contacts on this unit maybe once and it just keeps working. Drawbacks though…it’s a weird charging system and you have to have the magnets lined up exactly perfectly. There’s nothing that clicks in. Also the velcro started giving way pretty quickly. It’s a very weak type of velcro and it will sometimes come loose while I am riding. But for the money it’s pretty decent. Would I get it again? Yes. I created a little charging area where I know the magnet will meet the contact on the back of the unit, and I will use another velcro strap around it if I have to. I have done three hour rides and it stays charged. It is also very accurate because I have the same readings on my Samsung watch 7.

Nice and sleek looking but that is not what I bought it for
No problems in connecting to the app and getting readings. The problem is, the readings are insanely inaccurate. Charged it to a solid green loaded the app and configured it with my info and took it for a walk for about 30 minutes. It quickly started going into an aerobic state and 15 minutes into my walk I was in the red, which is 90 to 100 percent of my max heart rate. A few minutes later it started to buzz when I check the app on the phone it was reporting 175 beats per minute. Meanwhile, I feel fine and can’t even feel my heart is beating. Out of curiosity, to make sure I am not having a heart attack I put on my Samsung watch and headed out again for the same route. The highest I ever managed to register was 120 beats per minute. Disappointing. I could understand a little off but 50 beats off per minute is too much. I left it on my arm overnight paired with my phone. Now, I know my typical oxygen/heartbeat pattern from multiple other devices. It regularly and throughout the night showed a minimum of a 25-to 30 beats over what my comparison sensor detected. In conclusion, as much as I like the idea of a light indicator reporting the range I am at but the amount of inaccuracy in completely unacceptable. Not recommended!..

I’ve been using the COOSPO HW706 armband heart rate monitor for a few days now, mainly with my Fitbit account and Peloton bike, and it’s worked really well. Pairing was quick — it connected through Bluetooth on both devices without any trouble, and it stays linked reliably throughout my workouts. The strap is soft and comfortable, even during long rides, and I barely notice it once I start pedaling. The readings match very closely to my Fitbit’s optical sensor, but the COOSPO updates faster and stays more consistent when the intensity ramps up. Battery life is solid — I’ve only charged it once so far after multiple sessions. My only small complaint is that the charging clip feels a bit delicate, so I handle it carefully. Otherwise, this is a great, affordable alternative to chest straps, especially if you’re using multiple fitness platforms like Fitbit and Peloton.

Coospo has no app for runners. The official app is coospo rider which is only for cyclists. You need to use a different app named hearttool as per guidelines given in the product details. This app is very average. Sometimes it records data, other times it completely missed the data. Not very useful.

I paired this baby up with my Garmin Fenix 6 Pro and did various runs outdoor this past week and below is my experience. The set up is basically the same as any other Bluetooth or Ant + device. It took me less than 3 minutes from start to complete. And yes, I fully charged the device beforehand. The first run the moment I hit run on my watch and turned on the armband HRM, it was detected and connected immediately. I wore it on my forearm just beneath my elbow. It felt very comfortable on my arm and there was not issue of chaffing. It also stayed snugged and secured the entire run.I did running workouts from easy aerobic run, tempo run, interval workouts and finally a 20KM long trail easy run under wet snow condition. The HRM responded extremely well with the expected heart rate. For example on my interval hard workout, the HRM picked up my hard interval at 156-170 and immediately drops to 130-140 for my recovery time. For my easy recovery run, the HRM remains at 120-135, while I maintained running at a cadence of above 180 at a temperature of 5-7C. If I relied on my wrist HRM, in the same condition, the heart rate detected would very immediately latch onto my cadence showing a very high heart rate. I’m very happy to say that by using this armband HRM this annoying issue is finally resolved. My VO2 max has started improving to reflect my true fitness. So the last test run of the week was done under wet snow conditions. I believe I started the connection between watch and HRM a bit later than usual and the HRM failed to detect my heart rate and latched onto the cadence again. This happened in the first KM. I stopped my run and reestablish the connection between the two devices. I didn’t hit start until I see my heart rate is reading accurately at about 120-125. The rest of the run of 20KM showed very good expected range of HR.Based on one week of usage, I’m very happy with my purchase. I haven’t fully tested out the battery life but I can safely say the above runs of over 10+ hours were done under one charge. The durability is also an unknown fact at this point.
