Great way to try a bunch of flavors at once before ordering favorites in bulk canisters
Happy Viking is easily my favorite protein powder that I’ve tried so far. Plant based (which not enough are), full of additional goodness like superfoods and 1 cup of fruit/veg in addition to 20 grams of protein a serving, but most importantly, it actually tastes great. So many protein powders on the market do not, no matter what you blend them up with, let along drinking them on their own. The flavors in Happy Viking are so good that my actual favorite way to drink my go-to flavors is just blended up with water and ice (which makes them cheaper to consume as well). That’s it! I do also add them to smoothies when I make them, and it tastes good that way too, but I find it almost unheard of to actually like the taste of them on their own without adding other things to hide the flavor and chalkiness of a protein powder. My favorite flavors are Cookies and Cream (the flavor I use the most, fantastic on it’s own) and Vanilla (perfect for mixing into anything from protein balls to smoothies), but this is a great way to see what flavors you enjoy the most before purchasing a larger size (which is what I did). I also enjoy the Coffee, Greena Colada and Chocolate flavors. The fruit flavors weren’t bad either, I think a lot of people might want to buy a larger size of those after testing out the flavors by packet, they were just a little sweet for my taste on their own so I had to mix them into smoothies to enjoy which made them less appealing to me overall. Since trying the packets twice, I’ve already gone through 3-4 Cookies and Cream canisters now and a couple vanilla too. The packets are also great for taking with you while traveling. Definitely recommend this brand!

Works well as a breakfast replacement
In trying to lose weight, we use this as a breakfast meal replacement. We get Vanilla and Chocolate and blend them with the cold brew coffee we make at home. They taste good and keep us content through the morning.We have stainless insulated cups with a mixer ball that allows us to blend the powder by shaking it up for a minute or so. The more we shake, the smoother it blends, and doesn’t take much effort to get a good consistency. My wife also mixed the vanilla with orange juice once for a creamsicle flavor and liked that, too.

Tub, yes; single serve packets, no.
So, I first bought these packets, rather than the tub because it was out of stock. I was confused when other folks claimed that this protein powder did not have a chalky taste because the single serve packets definitely do. They don’t dissolve particularly well and there’s definitely a chalky taste. BUT! It is true that there are ZERO negative effects on my gastrointestinal system—a first, in my experience with protein powders. Despite the chalky taste, I was going to stick with this product because I liked the chocolate flavor, it provided the protein that I needed without any negative effects on my stomach.But then, when the tub came in stock, I couldn’t believe that this was the same product! My shakes are now silky smooth, and do not have a chalky taste whatsoever. IT IS DELICIOUS. I gave these small 1-cup containers that’s I portion out the scoops when on the go and it works just fine.All of that to say, for whatever reason, the tub far outweighs the single serve packets in taste and consistency. I’ll be sticking with this product for a while. (I docked one star due to the inconsistency amongst the packets vs the tub, but the tub easily gets 5 stars)

Delicious! Not overstuffing you — but carries you from lunch to dinner.Tastes good, smells good, feels good.I do wish that the variety pack we always available. It’s just good to know that one has several flavors to choose from right in one’s kitchen.

Great tasting and nutritious
I love the Strawberry Happy Viking. I like making it with a mix of Califia coconut milk and Califia Strawberry drink. This is one of the best-tasting protein shakes. I don’t detect a strong aftertaste.

Too chalky for me
While I do appreciate the amount of protein and other nutrients in this protein powder, I just cannot get past the chalkiness. It didn’t taste bad, but has that chalky aftertaste that kind of kills it for me. It does seems to blend/dissolve well, both in a shaker bottle and in a NutriBullet for those who have a question about that.

Decent protein shake.
Product came sealed as expected opened this up and the smell is very chocolaty. The shake dissolves well, but I like to use a frother. Not sure if using a blender bottle and shaking is as effective. The quality seems really good and it has 20g of protein. I use this as a breakfast replacement when needed. The only reason for 4 starts is cause like most protein shakes I have come across this still has a chalky texture. It’s not strong so that’s a good thing and it tastes really good the chocolate is impressive. Yet again, the chalky texture/taste is the reason I hate protein shakes. It’s a clean protein shake so it’s worth the investment. It doesn’t really give me a full feeling which is good and at the same time makes me still want to eat bit functionally it works well.

It tastes incredibly delicious and dissolves effortlessly, with tons of superfoods and nutrients on top of the protein. I have tried at least three other chocolate protein powders, and Happy Viking is by far the tastiest and the one with the most nutrients. I hope that the seller offers it on a subscription option to get a regular discount.
