Swamp water, but good quality
Tastes like agony, despair and swamp water but its probably good for you and its somewhat easy to take if you just slam it down in a shot of water, lemon juice and sugar. The packaging and product are nice quality.

Spirulina is a superfood. A complete protein, it is suitable for vegetarians or vegans. However, spirulina is relatively low in in the sulfur-containing amino acids cysteine and methionine. Consequently, it is recommended to also balance it out with whey protein powder, which is relatively high in cysteine.The health effects are amazing:For athletes, Spirulina increases endurance exercise performance and power output.It is very potent in controlling allergies.Spirulina can substantially improve blood lipid profile by significantly reducing triglycerides, while slightly lowering LDL and increasing HDL.For diabetics, spirulina will lower blood glucose slightly.For those with high blood pressure, it will lessen it.Spirulina can prevent or even reduce accumulation of fatty deposits in the liver.Spirulina is an extremely potent antioxidant. It is useful for asthma and COPD because it increases the antioxidants most important for the lungs.There is also a potent anti-viral effect.Spirulina blunts toxic mercury accumulation.Because spirulina is an algae, cultivated in shallow pools, when dried it is naturally a very fine powder. A few grams will give a rich pine green color to just about any smoothie.As expected, the quality is consistent with others I have tried.

Great Product and a Tip For Fixing Bag Zippers That Won’t Seal
—————————————————————————————————HOW TO FIX ISSUES WITH THE BAG NOT SEALING PROPERLY—————————————————————————————————First off, let me start with this little tip that will save you from the potential headache of the zipper on the bag not sealing properly. When the bags are filled, they are not sealed off by using the zipper, and instead the top of the bag is sealed instead. This leads to the product moving around in the bag during shipping and handling, which ultimately leads to it getting in the zipper tracks. The simple solution is once you open up the bag for the first time, take a toothpick and use the tip to clean out the inside of the tracks, as well as the outside of the single track. Once you do this, you will find that it is much easier to get the zipper to work, and that it provides a great seal.———————–Product Review———————–I am extremely pleased with the quality of this product. I am currently using this product in the hopes that it will help to reduce some of the effects of allergies, namely rhinitis, as well as its benefits for working out. Extremely strong smell/flavor but good value for money
I have been supplementing spirulina with tablets for some time, but the off-putting smell / taste plus the high number of tablets per dose made it challenging to stay consistent. It seemed like others had success with the powder form mixing with smoothies and the like.I now supplement about 1-2 tsp per day in smoothies using this powder. The taste / smell is still very strong / fishy, but adding to a fruit / protein powder smoothie mostly masks it. The spirulina color is a very vibrant, bright green and all smoothies end up with a pale green color no matter the fruit included.The powder itself is very fine and is rather messy to use, getting all over the bag / counter basically for every use. The bag itself is a bit tall and narrow, making scooping the powder with a measuring spoon a little awkward. I find myself needing to wash my hands every time I use this to wash off extra powder that invariably got on my fingers and hands.

Great Product, Awesome Customer Service!
Having never supplemented with spirulina before, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but always look for organic products, so decided to give Bulk Supplements a try!The product arrived very quickly, impeccably sealed, and obviously potent. The color is a deep, rich blue-green, and the flavor is pretty much what you’d expect out of spirulina: intensely green and “aquatic” in flavor. I rather like the flavor, but others find it slightly unpalatable.About a week into adding this to my green drink, in the morning, and I’ve noticed that I have felt a spike in energy (without caffeine) and a significant decrease in sinus pressure. I’m SOLD, and will definitely be purchasing more supplements from Bulk Supplements. They are affordable, high-quality, and organic, and their customer service is on point.
