Recommend for hard water
My stylist suggested this to help save my hair from being brittle and bronzed from hard water. I swear by her suggestion! Easy to install and leaves my hair and skin feeling soft. My hair has grown so much from this simple change.

Shower head filer a must in California
So we live in the San Pedro area and the water quality is not great. We’ve had multiple water quality alerts regarding the beach so I can only imagine the water we use in our home. So I use water filter filters all the time I know exactly when to change it because of my hair starts to feel oily again. I purchased this one because I’ve used this before. It’s easy to install. A size isn’t as big as it looks in the pictures and it works well. So ideally, I have to change ours about every three months. I know it’s recommended you can change it probably every six months but because of the quality of water in this area, they don’t really last up to six months for us so depending on where you’re at, just keep that in mind. You instantly feel a difference when you put a shower filter in your hair will not feel oily and not feel like it’s dirty or heavy. It will fill light and airy and it’s the best thing ever.I also purchased this because our son when we first started giving him baths when he was born his skin is very sensitive and he was getting a little red spot on his skin so I changed out filter and instantly his red spots and Russians were gone.

Does the job a little cheaper than Lowe’s and I don’t have to drive there to pick it up.
We have a lot of chlorine in our water and I am highly sensitive I get a rash and itching the last 4 days raised ugly spots on my skin. This is taking the chlorine out. I hope it’ll be better than the one I use from Lowe’s for years, very difficult to ope, hope this one’s better I will update you when I change the filter.

Will crack from water pressure
This is my second time ordering this water filter and the plastic piece at the top cracks every time in the same spot. I think the water pressure may be the reason and the plastic outer part is cheap so it cracks.

My hair is softer but i dont notice a huge, right away difference… i do know that the shower leaks at the connection. So i will need to put a lot more teflon tape on it. Havent done it yet. I got it on sale so price was okay. Didnt notice a smell?
