Worth the money because IT WORKS
I need to keep my iron level higher than “not strictly anemic” to help with restless legs syndrome, which is miserable to experience. The iron pills I was using were hard to swallow and caused constipation, so I didn’t always take them. At the recommendation of my sleep doctor, my nutritionist, my general practitioner, AND my hematologist, I tried this liquid iron to see if it would absorb better. It tastes good and is easy to swallow. I’ve had no constipation from it. I take 1 tablespoon every other day along with 1000 units of vitamin C. It really works! My hematologist tests my iron levels every six months and “tops off” my iron with an infusion if my iron falls below the level that helps with restless legs. I have not needed an iron infusion for my last two visits. This product isn’t cheap, but in my opinion it is a good value.

Easier to take than giant pills
So much easier to get my iron levels up than taking a large pill! It does have a slight metallic aftertaste but it goes away quickly, especially after eating or drinking something else.

Perfect Bioavailable Iron
I have low iron and this has made a big difference. Although it’s not “delicious” it doesn’t taste bad at all and is pleasant enough to drink. Iron pills/ gummies mess with my digestion but I’ve had no issues with this one. I can tell when I forget to take it for a while because I start to feel more lethargic and worn out after physical activity.

Worked wonders!
Being anemic is something I’ve struggled with since I was a pre-teen. Iron pills are just not something my body can tolerate or absorb correctly. I often avoid taking iron supplements at all costs because the side effects are just too much and opt for iron rich foods. As I inch closer to the end of my pregnancy my iron levels have decreased lower than ever. In an attempt to avoid taking iron pills or having to get iron transfusions (During my last pregnancy I did not have a pleasant experience with iron transfusions), I decided to try this liquid supplement and let me say just overnight I felt a difference. I feel more energetic throughout the day and I just overall feel amazing. I go in a couple days to get my iron levels checked, and I’m confident that my levels will improve. The consistency is thicker, and the taste isn’t horrible, but iron in general has an aftertaste of wet dog/metallic that no matter the flavor you will taste it. I take it in the late afternoon or evening with a drink on hand and a snack or food and I have no side effects besides heartburn (everything gives me heartburn lol) I totally recommend this product! and it has made a not-so-pleasant experience more pleasant!

Overall good but still waiting on effect – and received two different bottles
I purchased this when I ran out of my Floradix iron supplement. I thought this might be a good alternative and is slightly cheaper per serving.I first ordered one bottle, it came in a glass bottle. The taste is doable, super sweet, but I’m also not taking this for the taste of it but for the hopes that it works. I’m in the middle of my second pregnancy and am suffering again from low iron, which I notice in my awful fatigue.I used Floradix in my first pregnancy and it worked ok but I wanted to switch it up after trying one bottle this time around.I don’t feel as strong of an effect with the Mary Ruth iron supplement as I did with the Floradix one. I’m not sure if either one has more iron. I will ask my healthcare provider to check my iron levels to see what’s going on.One week after I received my first Mary Ruth iron supplement bottle I saw it was on sale for prime day and ordered two more bottles. Unfortunately, I received the same product in plastic bottles – just one week after I received the same product in a glass bottle. I would’ve preferred the glass bottle again but im assuming they’re working on switching their packaging and either one of my deliveries was an older batch and the other one a newer one.

Helpful for iron deficiency.
Easy to take. Pleasant taste for an iron supplement. Doesn’t have the side effects that pill form can. Although I’m not taking as a pregnant or nursing woman, my PC physician recommended it and it has helped my iron levels return to normal levels.

Helpful for Iron Levels, but the Taste Was Tough to Handle
*Helpful for Iron Levels, but the Taste Was Tough to Handle**I had heard great things about MaryRuth’s products and was drawn to this liquid iron because of the clean ingredients and reputation for high-quality supplements—especially during pregnancy. At the time, I was struggling with low iron levels and wanted something effective and gentle. While I did notice some improvement in my iron levels even with minimal use (just once or twice a week), the taste was extremely difficult for me to tolerate. The flavor and aftertaste were so unpleasant that I found it very hard to take consistently. As someone who experienced nausea during pregnancy, this product was especially tough to stomach. I honestly would have preferred an iron pill over this liquid form.If you’re sensitive to taste or prone to nausea, I’d suggest exploring other options. It may work well for others, but it just wasn’t the right fit for me.

Good usage
Seems to be working. No upset stomach if taken with food. Not bad tasting. Energy boost.
