Looks as elegant as the photos, exactly as expected, the taupe is so lovely and with the delicate looking (but fairly sturdy) embroidery it has a lovely textural aesthetic that doesn’t feel excessive to sit on. Have a cushion already that has a firm foam filling and I was interested in having a natural filling, especially in warmer months. Actually pretty rarely do floor cushion meditation, usually a healing style that requires a chair with my feet touching the ground or a floor/savasana meditation. But I’m definitely not going to without a cushion. The buckwheat really seems to mold to my pelvic floor and my Oakland booty, a bit different feeling from the others I’ve used. It’s comfortable, I’m about 115” with 36” hips. Getting up sometimes I need to put my hands slightly under my hips or one behind my back and one between my legs. It’s quite comfortable and I can sit up straight, I have scoliosis so the support feels really good. This is also great for tv watching or eating dinner/studying at a low coffee table. I’m usually a fan of color but this goes with a lot of colors and styles, as well as our gray cats (it’s nice to have something on the floor without it looking immediately fur laden). The carry bag is large enough to get it in easily and strong enough to support the weight and hang this item out of the way or to hold the cushion while washing the cover. The quality is outstanding, this is well made, sturdy and easy to pick up by the handle. For the price it’s really a bargain since it has a natural fill and looks like it would cost a lot more.

A Great Meditation Pillow!
I have another similar meditation pillow that was much more expensive. I ordered this one with the intent to take it to my office for those days when a mid-day meditation session is necessary. When it arrived, I placed it into the freezer for a day (a tip I saw to kill any bugs that may be in the buckwheat – not a tip specific to this manufacturer). I found that the amount of buckwheat in it was perfect for me, but some can be removed if needed for comfort.I did a few meditation sessions at home on it and found it just as comfortable as one I’d paid nearly three times the amount of this product (this one was $39 at the time of review). One of my birds had a little accident on it and I was able to wipe it off rather easily.Unfortunately, it never made it into the office as my nephew visited and decided that it was the perfect pillow to sit on while crafting at the coffee table. I guess I’ll have to buy another!

4.5 Stars – Comfortable, Malleable, and Pretty
Before I get to my review, I want to address some of the other reviews I’ve seen. The complaints seem to be about how firm / un-giving and how noisy the buckwheat hulls are. Plus, many mentioned how heavy this cushion is.All of this is: By Design and Exactly How It Should Be.Buckwheat-filled meditation cushions (and pillows) are meant to be supportive and also easy to mold into the shape/size you need. This cushion is indeed packed to the limit with buckwheat. It also has a zipper. Guess what that’s for!Yep, you’re meant to scoop out the fill until the cushion is at the optimal size/support for YOUR butt. This isn’t anywhere in the product description, I don’t think, but I assume that they assume most people will know that. (They shouldn’t assume.)As with the other buckwheat-filled meditation cushion I have, this one stops making much or any noise once you sit and settle, which is easier once you get the amount of fill perfect for you right.Don’t throw the extra away! Keep it in case you need it later (bodies change).As to my experience: I found the full cushion to be comfortable enough and very supportive. I did end up taking some out as I prefer a cushion that allows for the back bit to be higher, which creates a comfortable angle. I appreciated how tall the cushion was so that I could create that angle and still rest my legs on the floor.Another note: Unless you are a very tiny person, you’re not actually meant to put your legs AND butt on the cushion. It’s supposed to support your bottom and thighs. I’m a tall and wide person and the size is perfect for me when sitting correctly.I love the design on the fabric and the texture to it keeps the cushion from sliding around. I appreciate both the carrying handle and the bag. I move my cushions around the meditation area frequently. And when I go to meditation retreats I appreciate having a bag to carry my cushions in! One doesn’t need to be carrying it around constantly to need a nice bag for such.Highly Recommended!NB: I *very rarely* give 5 star reviews, so this being 4 stars is not a knock on the product. I would give it 4.5 but Amazon doesn’t allow for half stars.
