Influencers influenced right on this one
I feel into the trap of good packaging and influencer’s doing their job BUT it genuinely worked out for me this time around.Tastes great, there’s a velvety texture that blends smooth, it’s a bright green that it should be when it comes to matcha which shows its fair quality. I’ve done the double pound town with using two of these sticks with one serving of milk and it was chef’s kiss. Another chef’s kiss that it’s organic as well.I would rebuy again whenever I finish through these 2 boxes and need a fix of matcha + I don’t feel like spending 8 dollars on a matcha that is subpar compared to this (talking to you, Dunkin Donuts)Also, I’m a very big tea fan as well (as in my photo I have 5 different loose leaf, herbal organic teas in the back. There’s many more) and this is a happy addition to my stack.

Sweet matcha from Jeju
I mainly picked this up because I watched a Korean reality show recently that was filmed on Jeju Island, and it had a whole segment about matcha, so I got curious, and I guess sorta influenced. This is my first Korean matcha, I’ve only ever had Japanese or American matcha before, so I was excited to try it and see how it compared. Definitely a great price ($20 at the time of this review) for how much you get!The first thing that stood out to me was the packaging; it comes in a bottle with a screw top and nozzle that you pour the powder out of. I’m not sure if I like it, but it is interesting and I feel like they did it to keep the powder fresher, which I’m all for.The matcha itself is a really vibrant, bright green, which is always good. It whisks up easily and has a nice umami flavor that stands up well in a matcha latte. It’s less bitter/umami than some of the Japanese ceremonial grades I’ve had, but not in a bad way, just like more of a tea flavor than a matcha flavor. Overall, it’s a solid matcha and probably a good choice for anyone who wants a sweeter drink.

Beautiful Color, Clever Container, but Bitterness Lost Me
This was my first time trying Korean ceremonial matcha, and the color alone made for a great first impression. It’s a vivid, bright green that looks exactly how good matcha should look, and the powder’s fine enough to almost effortlessly whisk into hot water without any clumps.What really surprised me was the container. I wasn’t expecting anything special, but it turned out to be genuinely useful. Being able to shake instead of scoop the powder out for measuring was super fun for my lattes, and it somehow keeps everything neat instead of puffing matcha dust everywhere.The only downside for me is the slightly bitter aftertaste. I’m used to Japanese ceremonial matcha, which tends to be smoother and naturally sweeter, so the difference stood out right away. It isn’t harsh, just a lingering bitterness I never fully adjusted to, even after a few cups.Overall, it’s high quality, easy to whisk, and great for lattes. I’ll absolutely finish the container, but I’m not sure I’d go for this brand again because of the bitterness. Anyone who likes a more assertive matcha might love it, but it’s a bit too much for my palate.
