More accurate, faster to get a reading, no down side
I spent the extra money for this blood pressure machine when yet another of the low cost units arrived inoperable. I had used that low cost unit for a year or so and was always surprised how much my blood pressure varied. And, since I did not want to reattach the arm sleeve every time, I had to leave it loose enough so it would slip onto the arm without reattaching the velcro. The down side of this was I always had to run it at least two times to get it to inflate enough to take a reading. I just thought that was the way these things worked. But a replacement arrived broken and I decided to get another unit. So I selected this one.So why should you spend this extra money? For one thing, it is more accurate. Look at the graph of my readings taken same time every day. Right about day 200 this unit arrives and all of a sudden the readings are more consistent. Look before day 200 and they are all over the place. I just could not see why the readings varied so much so I just looked at the average. But there were days it was scary. After this unit arrives, they are much more consistent. I am much more inclined to make medical decisions with this new unit.Another problem with the cheaper unit is that I would have to run it 2 or 3 times before it would inflate the cuff enough to take a reading. Yeah, I know I could have reattached the sleeve each time, but I did not want to bother with the velcro on the sleeve. On this new unit I have only setup the sleeve once and it always gives me a reading on the first run.So, more accurate, much faster to run. Definitely worth it to me. A bargain.

Quick reading, standard cuff, very easy to read numbers and it’s accurate.
Simple one-button operation. Hit the button, sit still and wait for the cuff to tighten. It works like most blood pressure machines, with some differences:1: Size — This BP machine is slightly smaller (25% smaller) than the other two machines I’ve owned. It’s also lighter. It uses AAA size batteries, so this probably helps with the weight and overall smaller size.2: Display — Bright and colorful. This is not the dark grey numbers on a light grey background like some BP machines. The display is really where this machine shines (no pun intended). As an older adult, I cannot emphasize how important that is.3: Accuracy — Very accurate. Matches my old BP monitor which was calibrated at the doctor’s office.4: Comfort — The cuff is the standard soft nylon and velcro. No real advantage here, just wanted you to know what it was. It’s average.5: Speed — does seem to work faster than my old monitor.Overall a great machine that has bluetooth capabilities that takes an accurate measurement of your blood pressure.
