I am loving these so far. I just repurchased. Our water is hard, and this filter helps my hair, and my entire family enjoys the quality. It’s simple to install. Anyone can do it. The filter has tremendously improved my skin and color-treated hair. It’s a great value. Replacement will vary depending on your water quality. I highly recommend! It changed the look and feel of my hair. I can comb it, and I don’t have to clarify it as much. For general use without hard water, it is also a wonderful option!

Recommended for Irritated Skin & Scalp, Tangled Hair and Hard Water
This filter has made the biggest difference with hard water (in FL) for my hair and scalp. I have sebbhoreic dermatitis and my scalp was extremely dry, itchy and in pain-even with prescription shampoo. Hair was a complete disaster-knots everywhere, and I was losing so much hair every shower. The first time I showered with this filter I couldn’t believe that I could actually run my fingers through my hair! The water was so gentle feeling against my sore scalp. The filter lasted for 5 months and when it was time to change it, I immediately could tell because my scalp was itchy and irritated again, my hair was brassy and knotty. Here’s a pic of all the unbelievably disgusting gunk this filter caught, next to a new filter. They’re both the carbon filter. I would highly recommend if you have hard water, or an irritated scalp, or tangled hair. 10/10

Effectively removes iron from my water
These are on my regular rotation. Using these filters has drastically improved our water and with color treated hair that’s important to me. Even my hairdresser noticed an improvement in my hair. When I replace the filter i can see that it captures a lot of iron. Price is good and these are effective.

This filter saved my hair!
My husband was quite resistant to installing a filter on our shower head because the models we’d found extended so far that they dropped the level of the head too low for his 6′ height. I kept pushing, though, mainly because I color my hair and my stylist was always commenting on how quickly it went brassy (we’re on well water, so lots of minerals.) He finally found a shower head with the filters inside it (no extendable pieces) that worked for his needs as well as mine, and we chose this filter to put inside. The water flow and water pressure remained strong (another big issue with others we’d tried in the past), and these are easy to install, seem to last well, and best of all, my stylist now compliments not only the color retention when I go in for touch-ups but the overall health of my hair. That’s a first for me in a very long time, as I’ve been dying it for decades. I didn’t even mention the filter to her in advance, but she was amazed at the difference in my hair after just one appointment following the installation, so I’d have to say these WORK. I will definitely be repurchasing!
