Cleans well and smells good
Before I get to the rest of my review, I want to put this here for anyone who might have the same issue. My front loading washer smells. Ive done everything I should and when I switched to Meliora, I have noticed SUCH a reduction in smell. My thought was perhaps, just as the overuse of regular laundry detergent can feed bacteria in clothing, maybe it’s the cause in the washer too. This has ingredients that both neutralize and clean and some of them are things you might actually use to clean those gunked up components of a washer.Moving on, I picked Meliora because it was one of the very few truly zero waste detergents. Many are powder and natural, but in bags or pods. Which still contribute to plastic. And I’ve love my experience so far. It smells great and seems as clean as any other detergent.The lovely smell doesn’t seem to stay after being dried so I do wish they had a version of laundry “softener” or dryer sheets, but I’ve ordered some from another zero waste company to help on that side. It feels really great to be able to make a more environmentally friendly choice and have an awesome product too.*ps in relation to the washer, the smell actually comes from when the water drains into the standpipe in my case. So if you can’t figure out why you’ve cleaned your drum and door gasket and it still smells, this could be a culprit

Cleans clothes better than anything I’ve ever used
I usually use detergents like Purex or Persil. I had an itchy skin allergy even when using well-known hypoallergenic dye-free fragrance free detergents. I was willing to have not so clean clothes if it would help to try this detergent. Turns out this detergent cleaned my wash better than anything else I’ve ever used. Greasy, stained dishcloths got clean like they were brand new. Everything ended up clean, soft, fresh. This was totally unexpected because I couldn’t see lots of suds and I was sure enzymes and extra chemicals were needed to get laundry clean. Using powder instead of liquid is neater. I’ve been using the lavender clove scented one. Clothes end up unscented but fresh. I guess I didn’t need perfumed clothes after all I am so satisfied with this detergent.

The best green detergent I’ve found
Plastic free laundry! I do like how this one cleans! Seems much better than many of the other plastic free detergents. Nice light fragrance. Was good on whites, really dirty stuff, etc. I did add vinegar as fabric softener as suggested on the container. I removed a star because it was kind of expensive.

Laundry Powder Usage
I truly love this product! Its safe and environmentally friendly. Our skin loves the product. It definitely cleans all my laundry very well. I use this product with white vinegar and it works well together. My clothes are soft after the wash and dry. I love the Lavender and Lemon scent (both favorites). Just wish the scents would last after my laundry is dried. The only negative I have is that I need to use more than the recommended usage of laundry powder for my laundry when washing unfortunately. I followed the usage instructions and I was disappointed to see that it wasn’t enough to clean my laundry. My washer is HE and I use the powder in the tumbler with the laundry and not the dispenser. I do not use the laundry powder in the dispenser as it does not wash into the laundry. Instead it remains in the dispenser. This is not a big deal for me because Im fine using it combined with the laundry. I tend to go through one container per week. We are a family of 5 (two adults and three children) and laundry duty is daily here between sheets, blankets, towels and clothes. I always have large to extra large loads of laundry. Im going to keep the 5 stars because the product is everything we hoped for and I strongly recommend it for other families that are health conscious and want to use clean products. Realistically speaking, If you are a penny pincher, this may not be the product for you. It is pricey when you are using one container per week. In my case, the positive outweighs the negative. Hope this helps those contemplating on buying this product.

Works great.Better than the national brand liquid I have been using.I have some old towels I use for work in the shop. They are stained. This stuff got a lot of the stains out. It clearly dulled the stain. Like when you first wash stained cloth it is still stained, but it got some of the stain out so it is duller. The towels are brighter.I have washed in cold, delicate, hot and warm. All excelllent results.Only think that takes a lot of getting used to is, no suds.According to their website, suds are added by others to fool you into thinking it is cleaning. The suds have nothing to do with cleaning.I recommend this product and as soon as my liquid soap is used up, I will be buying this product again.

Deep clean for clothing
My clothes and fabrics are so, so much cleaner. be careful not to use too much as it’s a strong soap. there are instructions per dose use. my blankets and clothes seriously get a deep clean since switching to this. I’m not interested in liquid soap anymore. they never cleaned my clothes like this!!! I live in a city where i have to take the bus and it’s gross and sometimes makes my clothes smell. Even with other soaps, I have to use a public laundromat that also uses energy/ water efficient machines. I lways used liquid soaps before. but have a part time job house sitting so Then I found this brand after taking care of someone’s home and they let me do my laundry there. I switched to this brand myself. It”s much more worth it to me. Please not I have sensitive skin and this doesn’t irritate me. The container comes with a little spoon to measure BTW. Take care <3

Good ingredients. Can’t find anything particularly harmful for someone with eczema. Just wish the price was a little bit lower.

I purchased this to stash in my motorhome as part of our emergency supplies … We live in a wildfire zone and, with all our animals, if we were evacuated, we would likely just camp with the motorhome until we could return home. Recently, we’ve seen people evacuated for months at a time and our emergency supplies list grew. I needed a detergent that we would be able to use in buckets and that could safely be poured out onto the ground without being an environmental issue. Upon lots and lots of reading, I arrived at two brands that fit the bill, only one of which shipped to Canada. So, the reason for the longs story is to let you know that this brand has everything I wanted and was looking for, but I can’t really attest to its function as it will remain sealed until we need it. The only reason for the docked star is because it is ludicrously expensive. The other brand (that doesn’t ship to us) was somewhere around $20 for roughly the same amount. If I needed this for day to day use, I would never spend this much money on it.
