This Is a good balance of value, accuracy and, most importantly for me, ease of use
Good, reliable, minimal blood required, and easy to use. The strips work with a lot less blood that others I have used and absorb the blood easily and quickly, which is so great. Results come back pretty quickly. Just a few multiple purpose buttons to do everything, so that’s a little annoying, but not awful.(It turns on automatically when the strip is inserted. Maybe nice for some people. I’m not that fast and don’t like time pressure to fumble with the pile of thin strips in the tube…so I stick a measure strip in partially in before pricking my finger, and then push the strip in fully to turn the unit on, so it doesn’t time out. No biggie really).Can Bluetooth sync with a phone app, which I did for awhile, but haven’t done recently. Good for tracking over time, which can be important though. The app disconnects occasionally, so that’s a little annoying with the limited buttons and menu options.This has been the best meter I have used, compared to a couple others. Some of which were annoying and terrible. But this one is good and user friendly. I find the whole measurement process awkward, so it’s nice to have something that is pretty easy. Thumbs up.

Great Meter
I purchased the new Verio Reflect blood glucose meter/monitoring system to replace my Verio Flex device. While the Verio Flex functioned properly, the Verio Reflex has a number of enhancements. The Reflex arrived promptly and well packaged. The kit includes the meter, lancing device, 10 lancets and a carrying case. Note, the kit does NOT include any Verio Test Strips. The test strips for the Reflect device are the same as used in the Verio Flex device ( “One Touch Verio Test Strips” ).Setting the device up is easy following the Quick Start Guide and paired quickly and easily with the “OneTouch” application on my iPhone 8.The Reflect offers a number of features not found on the Verio Flex including a colored backlit display, expanded data analysis, goal setting and mentoring. It appears that OneTouch has listened closely to users and has provided a feature-rich meter. The device requires TWO 2032 batteries, likely because of the backlit color display.I note that syncing is not as immediate as the Verio Flex. The Flex would activate the sync process immediately following a test. The Reflect seems to wait a few seconds before activating BlueTooth for syncing. Ultimately, after the device initiates the syncing process by activating BlueTooth, the sync completes in seconds.I am quite pleased with this new meter and feel that anyone using the Flex will enjoy the enhancements offered on the Reflect.

Easy To Read But Finicky
I have been using various brands of meter for years with good results, but then my insurance company made a deal to only provide One Touch products. I had no choice unless I paid out of my pocket.My first attempts at testing failed and I ruined multiple strips. Error 2, Error 4, etc. Compared to other brands, this meter is very picky about how you test. But after trying several variations on the procedure, I hit on a method that works most of the time.First, get a good-sized bubble going on your finger.Then apply the blood sample on the test strip side at the dark line, not the tip.Watching carefully in good light, hold the finger to the strip until the line just turns completely red and not a moment longer. Another way to get the drop right is to retract finger after you get two green dots on the meter. Two dots and get off of it. The measurement will fail if you get the strip either too wet or too dry. After using the meter a few weeks, I have gotten ‘the hang’ of it and no longer ruin test strips.I really wish the company would make the volume less critical, especially since I am stuck with using their brand. They could also emphasize ‘two and through’,But it is not all bad… Unlike the non-lit models like the Flex, the Reflect backlit display is wonderful and very easy to read. Something about a ‘smiley face’ is also appealing to me. And the smartphone Bluetooth app is easy to use and provides a convenient way to track your measurements.In conclusion, I would choose another brand over the finicky One Touch. But if your insurance only provides LifeScan products, then you can get it to work reliably if you perform the above technique.========Revised review….After using the meter for almost a year, I have gotten to really like this easy-to-read, colorful LCD and now prefer this meter to other brands. Using the ‘two dots and through’ method, I get 100% successful measurements. And I still like the smiley face. 😁

This has always been a reliable company and still is on top of their game, or should I say product.
