This filter is replacement for GE RPWFE refrigerator water filter, despite the price – a mix of prior filtration performance and important certifications from the regulatory body in the industry – NSF 42 and NSF 372 certificates.

Half the price of the GE filter. Looks the same and installed the same. Don’t know what’s inside it, but same with the GE filter. Ice was gray for first few batches, same as the GE filter. Now they are nice and clear. Works for me.

Perfect replacement filter! These filters did everything I wanted them. They fit perfectly, they didn’t leak, and they provided me with great filtered water. No need to pay premium dollars for the original GE filters. I’ve been using these for three years now and could not be happier.

Not a Charcoal Filter but It Works So Far
Works as advertised. Water looks clear, smells fine and tastes like water. We have not yet used this product during the dry season when more of our city water comes from aquafers and it smells like well water. But so far, so good. I have cut into a used GE filter and they contain a block of charcoal. I guess whatever works.

I hate being trapped into buying GE filters with the stupid RFID chip which are expensive and expire by date after install rather than amount of use. I believe these filters will also expire six months after install but they are cheaper and I don’t have to give my money to a company trying to trap consumers into their system.Installing the filter was easy, just like with the GE Filter. More black charcoal was expelled on first use but after running the water through it a few times it came out crystal clear and tasted great! I will buy this again but wish the company would have a Canadian distributer as US customers get it even cheaper than we do.
